The African savanna elephant is surely a remarkable animal. Being the largest land animal, in this day and age - it is a memorable thing to see such a creature with its majestic form strutting along natures runway. Did you know an adult male elephants body weight can reach over 4000 kg? Your average Land Rover could range about 2250 kg. So you can just imagine, this no cute little creature - it is massive. All hearsay?

The "Camel-like-leopard"
An average standard residential door height is that of two meters (about 6 feet) high. Imagine two and a half of those doors stacked up on top of each other (did you just take a peek at the nearest door? ) ... adult giraffes are known to grow to such heights and even more. The giraffa-camelopardalis, or simply- the giraffe found in Southern Africa is quite an interesting animal. Hippopotamus "the River horse"
Ever wonder if hippopotami can breathe under water? Just to ease your mind - they have no gills. Where are they most of the time if we don't see them all the time alongside the river banks during the day? These chunky semi-aquatic beasts can hold their breath up to five minutes.
